Polar Attic Insulation
"The best spray foam company in Central Florida"

Serving the Tampa and Orlando Florida area for 13 years Installing spray foam and Insulation Products.

Spray foam is a more effective form of insulation than traditional types of insulation. In fact, it’s been shown to provide energy savings of up to 50% – significantly higher than other types, which only save about 30% of your energy costs.
Spray foam insulation in Florida has a number of other benefits: for example, it can block moisture from entering your home and molding, it lasts longer than other insulation types, and it won’t swell during a flood.
HandiFoam® low-pressure spray polyurethane foams (SPF) and low-pressure pour-in-place polyurethane foams (PIP) are chemically cured and designed for the professional to fill large voids and surfaces. Compared to standard insulation products, HandiFoam® products offer higher insulation values, are easy to install, and provide complete air tight coverage when properly installed. Stopping unwanted air infiltration is one of the most important and cost-effective ways to reduce heating and cooling costs, improve indoor air quality, and provide a more durable, energy-efficient structure.
TYPES OF INSULATION
Our trusted insulation installers use two types of spray foam to ensure the best coverage and performance: open-cell and closed-cell. Our insulation contractor can explain the differences of each option and which may be the best solution given your situation and use case.
Open-cell spray foam insulation works well for corners and tight areas, where it expands to fill cracks and crevices that might otherwise leak air. The R-value of open-cell polyurethane spray foam ranges from 3.6 to 3.8 per inch. The heat resistance of open-cell spray foam insulation is lower, but its density makes it a good provider of heat insulation.
Closed-cell spray foam insulation works well for larger, more open areas. This type of spray foam insulation is one of the most effective temperature barriers available. With closed-cell insulation, your furnace will heat your house or business – not the outdoors. Closed-cell foams are 1.8 to 3.2lb density and can be used for any interior or exterior insulation. Closed-cell insulation offers water retardancy and a moisture barrier, better energy efficiency to help reduce AC costs and tougher durability than open cell.
